We’ve outlined a few frequently asked question pertaining to our industry and the services we offer and we hope they help answer any questions you might have!

What is pressure washing?
Pressure washing is the use of a high-pressure water spray to remove surface buildup such as mold, algae, grime, dust, mud, dirt, loose paint, and other natural elements from surfaces like concrete and stone but also applies to homes, office buildings, hardscapes, and other exterior structures. Environmentally-friendly chemicals, soaps, and cleaners are also utilized to help brighten, sanitize, and disinfect surfaces before, during, and often times after [post] treatment.
Why do I need pressure washing for my home and business?
Untreated surfaces that aren’t pressure washed on a regular basis can build unsightly – and even unsafe environments for home and business owners. Algae, mold, and mildew can build up on roofs, siding, driveways, porches, decks, hardscapes, and fences. Natural build-up like this can cause surfaces to be come slippery and unsafe. High-traffic areas as well as surfaces under heavy tree cover / shade are important areas to consider.
What's the difference between soft washing and pressure washing?
Soft washing is a low-pressure, exterior cleaning technique that is used to clean surfaces where high-pressure water spray could damage, crack, or cut the area being cleaned. Common applications for soft washing are roofs, siding, gutters, and other similar surfaces. Soft washing leverages environmentally-safe chemicals and cleaners to disinfect and clean as opposed to leaning on a high-pressure system to “blast” off build-up and grime.
What does GPM stand for and how is it different than PSI?
GPM stands for “Gallons Per Minute” and can also be known as “flow rate.” GPM is a measure of how many gallons of water flow out of a pressure washer each minute. Commercial pressure washers can range between 4 GPM to 8 GPM. The higher the GPM, the more efficient the service can be. PSI (pounds per square inch) is important in our industry but not as important as GPM.
What's the difference between surface cleaning and pressure washing?
At face value, they are the same thing. Both services utilize a high-pressure water system to blast away surface build-up. Pressure washing can be done with a spray nozzle or turbo nozzle. On 3D surfaces, these attachments are optimal but flat surfaces are where a surface cleaner is the right tool for the job. Surface cleaners connect to the high-pressure water line from our pressure washer and spray water in a circular spray pattern that covers a larger surface area without leaving streaks. Surface cleaner sizes can range from 16″ to 30″ and vary based on the GPM
How do you quote pressure washing jobs?
If you are interested in our pressure washing / exterior cleaning services, it’s common for us to chat first by phone, text, or email – so we understand a high level scope of work for your property. Once we chat, we will schedule an on-site visit to walk your property with you, assess your needs, and answer any questions you might have. If possible, we will produce an estimate on-site but larger and/or more complex jobs may require us to follow up with a more detailed estimate. If the scope of work and price are approved, we will schedule your property for service!
